I am a visual artist who lives in New York City. My art pieces are set in color contrasts that infuse intensity and tone. They display a backdrop of multi-layered hues that reflect the human experience, evoking emotion and fantasy. I am inspired by the earth and the sea and by the amazing varieties of colors that cross my eyes during my travels.
I use various media: oil, acrylic, charcoal, pastel, mirrors and textile that create scenes where symbolism, expression and rhythm intersperse. I also create mixed-media pieces in a broad spectrum of sizes and subjects from nature’s ecological components to cultural issues.

I studied painting with Edla Cusick and at the Art Students League of New York. I studied watercolor with Walter Mosley. I am an artist in residence at Chashama. I have exhibited at the New York State Museum, Albany, Harlem Arts Alliance, NYC, The Galleries at The Interchurch Center, NYC, The Herb & Milly Iris Gallery At South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC), NJ.

More recently, my work has frequently been exhibited at hob’art gallery, NJ, Ceres gallery, NYC, the Drawing Room, NJ and Pleiades gallery, NYC.
