Robert Koch
To be Continued
Opening reception, Sunday Nov 1, 1-4p ART150 Gallery
Robert Koch’s works form a coherent and exhibition-ready body of work. He uses the strength and geometric structure of welded steel to create soft, organic forms that often appear surprisingly fragile. The most compelling aspect of Koch’s work is the tension between monumentality and fragility. The installation of these sculptures also offers exciting possibilities, as despite their static nature, their appearance changes depending on the space and the interplay of light and shadow. Borbála Jász, PH21 Gallery, Barcelona Spain
