Curator’s Statement: Blurred Time” is about letting go of time in our physical space and existence. Using the term “Installation” allows the work from individual artists to be configured so that the room becomes the artwork. Will the collective of works sharing a space lend their identity and allow the room to become the work of art?  What can be created when our stories and expressions are intertwined. As in the theory of Gestalt, is it possible that an organized whole can be experienced as more than the sum of its parts?

Vladimir Nabokov discusses a young chronophobic, [Chronophobia:the fear of time moving forward]. “He saw a world that was practically unchanged-the same house, the same people- and then realized that he did not exist there at all and that nobody mourned his absence. He caught a glimpse of the unsettling weirdness we can feel when thinking about a time when we never existed because it reminds us of our own mortality.”
