Andrea Epstein writes:
“Fellow Artist, Studio Mate, and Mentor/Teacher, but most importantly Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Daughter, Aunt, and Wife.
Jessica was a passionate painter and printmaker who will be remembered narratives reflecting the personal, with a primitive and humorous edge.
She was was also a tremendous mentor and teacher an interesting array of venues: The Visual Art Center, Summit. Hunterdon Museum. Art Center at Demerest, Cancer Patients from NYU Medical Center and many more. Her many students were truly inspired by her friendship as well as her artistic collaboration.”
Victoria Plummer, Student and Colleague, writes:
“I spent some time in my studio today just noodling around with some new watercolors. I kept thinking about Jessica, and wishing I’d had the chance to say goodbye. She introduced me to printmaking, and I will forever be grateful to her for that. I’ll miss her sense of humor and perspective on this crazy world.
Goodbye Jessica: the world is a dimmer place without you, and I hope you know how many lives you touched.”
