Liz Rudnick is an artist who lives and works in Mahwah, NJ. Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, she grew up in New Jersey before moving to Pittsburgh to attend CMU’s school of art. Since graduating in 2012, Rudnick has exhibited extensively in the region and beyond. Her colorful paintings feature complex figure-ground relationships and labyrinthine forms that are achieved via the layering of intuitive, chaotic gestures with more choreographed mark making. Obfuscation and erasure are key to her process.
