Christina Soto is an award winning photographer/filmmaker/playwright, born and raised in New York City, whose work often focuses on women’s issues and her Cuban heritage. Her photography has been in numerous juried and group shows throughout the region as well as New Mexico, and she has won awards from the Perkins Center for the Arts in Moorestown, N J., and the Old Church Cultural Center Gallery in Demarest, N.J. In March of 2008, Soto was presented with an award by the Hudson County for Women’s History Month, Women’s Arts : Women’s Vision. She is the founder and organizer of the 2009 Hudson County Youth Video Program, now in its fourth year, for both middle and high school students. She resides in West New York, NJ.
